This June, SXSW arrives in London for the first time — and Propeller is proud to be taking part in two standout sessions focused on inclusive leadership, equity in the workplace, and challenging outdated industry norms.
Panel 1: Moving on from the Supermum Myth
Location: Truman Brewery – Stage 2
Date & Time: Tuesday 3 June, 11:50 AM–12:20 PM
The “Supermum” narrative suggests that women should be able to seamlessly balance careers, childcare and everything in between — but it’s a myth that sets unrealistic expectations and sidelines the role of fathers.
In this session, panellists will challenge that narrative and explore how to create a more balanced and supportive approach to working parenthood — one that recognises caregiving as a shared responsibility and a key factor in building a truly inclusive workplace.
Speakers:
- Louise Watson, Associate Director, Propeller Group
- Joeli Brearley, Founder, Pregnant Then Screwed
- Elliott Rae, Founder, Parenting Out Loud
Moderator: - Karen Stacey, President of WACL and CEO, DCM
Presented in partnership with WACL and DCM.

Panel 2: Women in Leadership – Rising to the Moment
Location: BIMA House @ SXSW London, The Joiner on Worship, Shoreditch
Date & Time: Thursday 5 June, 17:30–19:00 BST
As economic uncertainty and DEI rollbacks continue to reshape the workforce, the resilience of women in leadership roles has never been more vital. This panel, chaired by Propeller’s Chief Client Officer Rose Bentley, will explore how women are redefining what it means to lead — and what we can learn from the next generation.
Expect an honest conversation about the leadership qualities that drive growth, the need for genuine male allyship, and the value of building networks on your own terms.
Panellists:
- Sally Keane, Director of Sales, Spotify
- Collette Philip, Founder, Brand by Me
- Nishma Patel Robb, Founder & Chief Sparkle Officer, Glittersphere
- Rebecca Crook, CEO, MMT & 26DX (part of MSQ)
The panel will be followed by informal networking drinks.
