What we’re seeking 

We’re looking for a senior adtech specialist (Account Director/Senior Account Director) to help lead our adtech practice in the U.S. You will maintain full responsibility for our stateside portfolio of advertising and marketing technology clients, managing a team across multiple accounts consisting of Account Managers and Account Executives.

You will have responsibility for developing and managing client relationships; overall program direction and delivery, in conjunction with the Managing Director and CEO; ensuring client satisfaction and retention; growing the client portfolio revenue and developing skills and expertise within the team. You should also take a lead role in new business pitches and lead generation in the advertising technology space.

While Propeller PR’s UK-arm was founded over 20 years ago, we created Propeller U.S. in late 2021 to expand our offerings for global clients, offering full-service B2B PR, content and business development solutions to leading companies and agencies. We shape and share compelling content with the decision makers who are important to our clients.

Description

What we do: Whether our clients are U.S.-based or global, seeking to build a profile from scratch or enhance an existing one, we help them reach key decision makers in their space by securing opportunities in the publications and industry events which matter most to their target audiences.

How we do it: By executing proactive media engagements that go far beyond news generation, each strategically designed to shift the conversation forward and define industry standards at the same time. Working closely with client teams, we create and elevate thought leaders by identifying concepts and ideas which not only set their businesses apart, but also matter to them as professionals—and then we help champion them to the world.

You should

  • Be well versed in most PR techniques
  • Full range of writing skills
  • Broad understanding of how the different communications disciplines work, and how their roles are related in a communications programme.
  • Presentation and public speaking skills
  • Ability to conduct and manage meetings effectively,
  • Ability to identify priorities and manage own and direct reports' time efficiently.
  • Analytical ability and strategic perception
  • People management skills
  • Ability to prepare client proposals.
  • Display an ability to recognise new business opportunities and be able to secure these as clients with guidance from Associate Directors.
  • Demonstrate a passion for your work with your team.
  • Act as an ambassador for the agency and encourage similar behaviour among your team.

Your responsibilities and duties will include

  • Account direction on each of your accounts, and day-to-day management of client programmes.  
  • Delivery of exemplary client service for your clients and ensuring that account KPIs are met and exceeded at all times.
  • Advising on all aspects of the earned and owned media mix and their deployment to achieve your client’s business objectives.
  • Growing the client portfolio revenues to reach and exceed revenue and profit targets and recommending additional Propeller services to your clients as appropriate.
  • Developing strong relationships with key client personnel as the main (senior) point of contact on the account.
  • Taking a key leading role with new business pitches and activities as required
  • Taking an active role in lead generation within the advertising technology space
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key influencers.
  • Deep knowledge of the advertising technology landscape, the key issues and pressures facing the industry.
  • Assist with educating junior members of the team on advertising technology.
